About me
I am currently in my third and final year of study for a BSc in Conservation Biology and Ecology at the University of Exeter, Cornwall campus. I initially thought that this was the trajectory I would like to pursue, but as I have progressed I've realised more and more that my true interests lie in behavioural ecology and evolutionary biology. After all, what could be more fulfilling and fascinating than understanding our own existence or why we behave the way we do?
My on-going research project is a meta-analysis of reciprocal transplant experiments. I am interested in unravelling how local adaptation (using the local-foreign criterion) is affected by geographical space. For more details on this and other work, please click here.
Outside of my academia (and the long days spent in the library) I enjoy playing football for Tremough FC, Perranwell reserves and the Lepsoy Ocelots, climbing, scuba-diving and playing the guitar (particularly blues).

I am also bilingual (Norwegian and English), and have lived in on a small island called Lepsøy (pictured) on the south west coast of Norway for the past ten years. The island is extremely beautiful, with plenty of wildlife such as deer, seals, white-tailed eagles, killer whales and even a pair of Peregrine Falcons.
The picture was taken by Marit Iren Kjerstad, and shows the majestic aurora borealis over the island on a winter's day.
